Restrictions on the Use of Our Services

Information about restrictions on the use of our services in accordance with Article 14 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 of the European Parliament and of the Council can be found in our Terms of Use, in particular but not exhaustively in sections B.5, E, F and G.

Information on Moderating and Restricting User Content

The moderation and restriction of user content is carried out on the basis of the Terms of Use, applicable law, abuse prevention and the legal model for hosting services after knowledge of inadmissible third-party content.

If we receive a sufficiently substantiated report or otherwise become aware of inadmissible content, we may refuse, hide, blur, block or delete affected content, restrict sharing, limit account functionality, suspend generated reports or suspend accounts where appropriate.

Affected users are informed where legally required and technically possible. Users can submit statements, objections or counter-statements via the published contact points.

Technical safeguards, blocklists, rate limits, automated security checks and manual review may be used to detect abuse, unlawful content or violations of the Terms of Use. Automated signals may support a decision but may be reviewed manually where appropriate.

User Remedies and Objection Procedure

Users may object to a restriction, suspension, deletion or other moderation measure by using the published contact points. The objection should identify the affected URL, report or account, explain why the user considers the measure incorrect and provide a reachable contact address.

URLsilo reviews objections in an appropriate manner and may uphold, lift or adjust the measure. Where the measure was based on incomplete or incorrect information, URLsilo may restore access or correct the affected data where technically and legally possible.

Manifestly unfounded, abusive, repetitive or bad-faith notices, objections or counter-statements may be rejected or restricted to protect the service and the rights of others.

Use of Automated Signals

URLsilo may use automated technical signals such as blocklists, rate limits, security checks, URL metadata, network indicators and abuse patterns to support moderation and abuse-prevention decisions.

These automated signals help prioritize review, prevent obvious abuse and protect the service. They do not necessarily determine the final outcome on their own, and decisions may be reviewed manually where appropriate.

Abuse Prevention

In order to protect the service and keep the network clean, URLsilo may work with technical safeguards and blacklists. If a user IP address or submitted content is reported through such safeguards or otherwise appears abusive, access or affected content may be blocked or restricted.
